There are loads of things to do in the Morvan Regional Natural Park, including walking, cycling and swimming. There are also plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner, as well as a wealth of opportunities for sightseeing.
History and vineyards
Among the historic towns and cities within easy reach of the house are Autun, Vézelay, Beaune, Auxerre and Dijon. How about a day trip to the local wine region, taking in one of the famous Burgundy wineries (such as Pommard or Meursault)?
The lakes of the Morvan
Only 10 minutes by car you will find the Lac de Pannecière, a quiet lake where you can swim. Lac des Settons is a 30 minutes drive from Champs de la Croix.

Markets, fairs and festivals
The local villages host a wide range of farmers’ markets, flea markets and fairs during summer weekends. There are also a number of local festivals, including an annual short-film festival at Ouroux-en-Morvan, a classical music festival in Vézelay, a violin festival in Luzy and a festival celebrating the hurdy-gurdy (a medieval string instrument) in Anost.
